Where to use the charset Attribute


Description

The charset attribute specifies the character encoding (e.g. "utf-8", "ISO-8859-1") of the linked resource given by the href attribute of the a or link element or by the src attribute of the script element.

For reference: *list of approved character sets published by the IANA (use the preferred MIME name of the character set in question).
