ul Element

Module

The ul element is a block-level element declared by the XHTML 1.1 List Module

Elements in the List Module are:
ul | ol | li | dl | dt | dd

Description

The ul element, in conjunction with the li element, allows an unordered (bulletted) list to be created.

For example, the code:

<ul>
  <li>First List Item in Unordered List</li>
  <li>Second List Item in Unordered List</li>
  <li>Third List Item in Unordered List</li>
</ul>

would be rendered in your browser as follows:

  • First List Item in Unordered List
  • Second List Item in Unordered List
  • Third List Item in Unordered List

There are no styles applied to this list (or its elements) on this page so the above rendering is the default of your browser. You can change the rendering using CSS.
See also the ol element.
