Interactive Nesting Tester (XHTML 1.1)


 

Use the form below to check if one XHTML 1.1 element can validly be a direct child of another - but see also Descendant Exclusions.

Type just the element name without any < or > characters or attributes. Both fields are case insensitive so you can use either upper or lower case (but note that tags must be in lower case when used in XHTML 1.1 code).
To check if text can be included directly, as a child, enter PCDATA (or pcdata) into the "Child element" input box.
